U.S. panel urges vigilance on China spying, cyberwar
Spying in China poses “the single greatest risk” to U.S. technology, said a congressional advisory panel, which also called people to start protecting computer networks and industrial secrets. In addition, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission in its annual report to Congress asked for closer work with China in promoting energy security, and in dealing with the problems that the environment is facing, like pollution and climate change. U.S. Congress was sked to examine “military, intelligence, and homeland security programs that monitor and protect critical American computer networks and sensitive information, specifically those tasked with protecting networks from damage caused by cyberattacks.”
